A carpentry lecturer at South Staffordshire College has unveiled his latest masterpiece, a carving of the College logo.

When Matt Pate heard that the Construction department needed a door between the Carpentry and Brickwork sections, he used the skills of his carpentry students to build a door made of plywood, chipboard and softwood.
Matt, who has always enjoyed art and graphic design, said "I carved the College name and logo into the wood because I wanted to feature woodwork and the College together".
The new door will provide a constant reminder to all those that walk through it of the new College logo introduced when the four campuses merged to become South Staffordshire College.
