Student Finance
From September 2012 student finance for new students is changing. Students starting university or college can apply for loans to help with their tuition fees and living costs. How much money you get depends on if you study full-time or part-time and on your living circumstances. Full-time and part-time students can apply, from early 2012, for loans and grants to cover their tuition fees and living costs. Grants are also available to full-time students to help with living and tuition costs. You can also apply for a Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant and many universities and colleges give out financial help in addition to any student loans and grants. This money helps to pay for your living costs and tuition fees and you don’t have to pay it back. There is also extra help available from bursaries and scholarships.
We can support and guide you through your finance arrangements to see what loan options are available to you. We will also want to meet with you to help plan your career and ensure the HE Award option is the right one for you. We can also help you complete your UCAS application.
Financial support
Funding for Higher Education can appear very complex and it is important that you research this properly and seek advice. Financial help is means-tested and can depend upon the income of parents or partner that you may live with.
