David is an MBA trained Chartered Engineer, with over 25 years’ public and private property management and facilities experience. Well versed in property disposal, acquisition and development, David has experience of delivering £20m revenue savings through post-merger portfolio planning.
Prior to joining Amey Plc in 2018 as Group Head of Property, David worked for 17 years at Carillion Plc as Group Property Director where he was responsible for all aspects of the UK Estate of 170 properties. David has also worked within the NHS as Director of Estates and Facilities; leading an environmental agenda, controls assurance and health and safety, whilst simultaneously delivering multiple health facility builds, extensions and refurbishments.
David is a great believer in lifelong learning and is passionate about supporting those within their early career journey and as such, finds being a governor at South Staffordshire College particularly rewarding.
