Landbased Technology

The AgriSTEM Academy is one of a kind and will give you access to exceptional learning facilities and practical training that is unavailable elsewhere in Staffordshire. AgriSTEM has a range of diplomas, apprenticeships and traineeships in subjects including: Landbased Technology, Landbased Engineering, Agriculture, Construction, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Motor Vehicle and Motorsport. Our aim is to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in a growing industry where skilled workers are in demand.

Learners will benefit from an Advanced Mechatronics Lab which will simulate an industry standard manufacturing environment, an agricultural and construction vehicle simulator, CAD/CAM teaching spaces, multi-occupation construction areas, renewable energies workshops and gas and hot water assessment areas as well as a host of inspiring, digitally enabled learning spaces.

Experience our hands-on practical courses which will allow learners to get to grips with the world of engineering. Learn how to maintain and repair a wide range of agricultural and industrial machinery as well as off-road vehicles, gaining skills relevant to working in an industry setting.

You will have the opportunity to complete additional qualifications to enhance your CV and employment opportunities. These qualifications include NPTC Tractor driving and Health and Safety.

Knowledge and qualifications in landbased technology are highly transferable and enhance your ability to carve out a successful career in many associated areas including horticulture, agriculture, service engineering, mechanics and mechanical engineering.

Study programmes
Our 16 to 19 study programmes are designed to provide learners with a structured and challenging individualised learning programme that supports their development and progression in line with their future career plans.

All of our study programmes include:
  • One or more academic, applied or vocational qualification that stretches our learners and links to training, employment or higher education
  • A meaningful work experience placement (related to your vocational area of study)
  • Continuing to study English and maths- learner’s who do not have GCSE A*-C in English or maths will work towards the achievement of these qualifications
  • Additional activities and enrichment opportunities which develop learners’ personal skills and/or prepares them for employment, training or higher/further education
  • Additional Learning Support (where required)

Our study programmes focus on maximising progression to the next stage of education, employment or an apprenticeship.
