- About Us
A level provision from September 2014 will be offered through The Rural Enterprise Academy, which is our school located at our Rodbaston campus. This will allow students to pursue either an entirely academic A level programme or combine A levels alongside a vocational qualification. Whilst high standards of behaviour will be expected, our students will be encouraged to focus on independent learning and self development.
There won’t be a uniform and our 6th Form students will have access to all of the College facilities including a Costa Coffee Shop, use of the grounds, trips and visits to places of interest and enjoyment such as Drayton Manor and Alton Towers. Our 6th Form students will be able to use our wide range of online learning resources as well as excellent library facilities to further their studies.
The core of the 6th form curriculum will focus on A Levels, in relevant subjects contextualised to develop skills and knowledge relating to the rural enterprise and sustainability sectors, whilst creating a rounded curriculum experience which develops the skills vital to a wide range of employment opportunities.
Students will normally select 4 AS Levels and will progress onto 3 A Levels. Alternatively our 6th Formers may choose to select 2 AS Levels and study these alongside a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.
