Vacancy Description:  Whilst working within our workshop, you will take part in the following tasks:

  • To maintain all equipment owned by the company in a cost effective manner
  • To maintain all owned vehicles – service and MOT
  • To manage your time efficiently to carry out above
  • To cost effectively source spares etc to carry out above
  • To effectively manage all associated paperwork including: timesheets, job cards, orders, advice notes and invoices as well as maintenance schedules.
  • Any other duties around the Nursery / Depots deemed necessary and within your capabilities

You will be required to carry out these duties at various depot locations throughout the UK.

Working Week: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Training:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Landbased Engineering
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT (if required)

 

Vacancy Type: Intermediate Apprenticeship

Duration: 18 months

Qualifications:  Candidates will hold GCSE grades A*-C (4-9) in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents).

A full, clean driving licence is also desirable.

  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Willing to work outside in all weather conditions

 

Future Prospects: Full-time position may become available to the right applicant.

 

Things to Consider:  Initially the apprentice will work no longer than 40 hours per week, although once they reach the age of 18 yrs from time to time they may be required very occasionally to spend time away from home to maintain machinery at different depot locations. Transport and accommodation will be provided for this.

This type of work will include working outside to some degree in all weather conditions. Must be able to attend the depot for work as required daily.
