Vacancy Description:  As a Rehabilitation Equipment Technician you be be involved in the servicing and maintenance of high end manual and powered wheelchairs in house in Stafford and eventually across the UK.

Duties to include:

  • Pre delivery inspection of products, set up of products, manufacture special instructions to modify the products.
  • Servicing and maintaining the customer fleet initially in house but will become field based when appropriate.
  • Keeping up to date our CRM system relative to the product section.
  • Programming powered wheelchairs and fault finding of mechanical issues

Working Week: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm (40 hours p/w)

Training:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
  • Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT upto Level 2 (if required)

Qualifications:  Candidates will hold GCSE grades A*-C (4-9) in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalent qualifications).

Candidates will ideally have a full, clean driving licence prior to applying for this position.

Skills Required:

  • A mechanical  equipment understanding is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Team player who is also able to work well on their own initiative
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to think ahead, and use problem-solving techniques

 

Future Prospects: Progression within the company in a variety of different roles for example: Service Manager, Field Rehabilitation Equipment Technician.
