Vacancy Description:  We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, creative apprentice to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate must already have a Level 2 Childcare qualification, and must want to work towards gaining their Level 3 qualification.

  • Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • The successful candidate must be a teamworker, to work amongst the existing team, responsible for the care and education of young children
  • Knowledge of  EYFS is essential, the right candidate will be required to work to these standards to ensure children reach their full potential
  • Learn how to provide high-quality childcare
  • Learn the skills of a nursery nurse
  • Contribute to childrens observations, planning and records.

Employer Description: Little Potters Day Nursery is a small, family-run, friendly nursery. We aim to provide quality childcare from children aged 0-5. We have 12 existing members of staff, all of which are Level 3 qualified and above, therefore, this is the ideal environment for an individual seeking a career in this field. 

Vacancy Location:

Working Week: Monday – Friday, minimum of 30 hours per week. Hours to be discussed with successful candidate.

Training:

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
  • Level 3 Technical Certificate
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Functional Skills in ICT
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

 

Vacancy Type: Advanced Apprenticeship

Duration: 15 – 24 Months

Personality: Candidates must be hard working, reliable and willing to complete any tasks associated with their job role. The successful candidate must work well amongst the team, and will build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and internal/external professionals.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold GCSE English and Maths qualifications at grade A*-C, or an equivalent qualification. The successful candidate MUST have a Level 2 qualification in Childcare. 

Skills Required:

  • Candidates who apply for this vacancy must have achieved their Level 2 Childcare qualification, as this is an advanced apprenticeship,
  • Knowledge of and previous training in safeguarding, food safety and first aid,
  • Teamplayer,
  • Candidates must be of a calm and caring nature and should be dedicated to the education of young children,
  • Candidates must be well organised and able to remain calm when working under pressure.
