Rural Community Networker
£37,455 - £40,920 per annum • Full-time • Campus: Rodbaston
An exciting position has become available at South Staffordshire College
to be at the forefront of developing the link between rural
industries and the College as they become more prominent and play an increasingly important
role nationally and politically as the country faces the challenges of feeding and
watering an ever-growing population.
The Land-based Faculty requires an Assistant Head of Faculty that can engage
with the local rural community to ensure that the rural
community and the College are working together to maximise benefits for each other, taking a
direct lead from the College’s Rural Strategy.
The post holder will build upon established links and create new opportunities
to cement the College as the Centre of the West Midlands rural community.
With a formal qualification in agriculture or a related discipline at Level 4 or
above, you will have recent and extensive experience in working in agricultural
or any of the allied industries. Experience of managing staff is essential.
An enterprising attitude and strong influencing skills are essential for meeting
with representatives from the local rural community and engaging with staff and
learners on a daily basis. Although previous experience in a College would be
useful, it is not essential.
