South Staffordshire College require a motor vehicle practitioner to join their specialist team of Lecturing Staff to deliver practical workshop based demonstrations and teaching to a range of interested and motivated students. This role will appeal to qualified motor vehicle engineers, mechanics or fitters who love what they do and would enjoy inspiring the students and apprentices to succeed.
You may have enjoyed teaching apprentices in your workshop or feel you have a talent for getting the best out of people. If so, this is an opportunity to develop those skills within our dedicated College-based workshop facilities working with students between levels 1 and 3 focusing on practical skills. The role is based primarily at our Tamworth campus however, travel will be required occasionally to two other campuses in Cannock.
South Staffordshire College is the best in Staffordshire and we are on journey to becoming an outstanding College. The successful candidate will work well with students and be driven by learner success. You will hold a relevant industrial or trade qualification to at least a level 3. You will have experience of the motor vehicle sector and will have worked as an engineer, mechanic or fitter. A teaching qualification would be advantages, but not essential as the extensive development will be provided.
