The successful applicant will be working as part of our Motor Vehicle Team. You will be teaching up to and including level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology in both theory and practical workshop-based lessons. Our students include 14-16s, full time and apprentices who are aiming to become motor vehicle technicians/mechanics. A good knowledge and experience in the Motor Trade is essential as is some experience of teaching.
The successful applicant will have a level 3 qualification from a recognised awarding body, e.g. C&G, IMI, Edexcel etc and have experience working within the motor trade as a vehicle mechanic. They must also have teaching experience and a teaching qualification, e.g Cert Ed, C&G 7306 or equivalent.
An Assessors or IV award would prove advantageous, as would a level 2 qualification in Key Skills and a manufacturers qualification. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of environmental sustainability and safeguarding.
