The Foster Centre for Learning based at our Rodbaston Campus, is on target to achieve the BREEAM standard of Excellent with many sustainable features which will benefit students well into the future.

These include

A Biomass boiler fed by locally sourced wood chips;
The abundant use of natural daylight that will fill the atrium considerably reducing the dependence on artificial light;
The harvesting of rainfall to supply water to the toilets and irrigation of the gardens;
The use of high thermal mass and of natural ventilation to keep the building cool in summer and warm in winter;
Landscaped gardens including a stunning water feature that will benefit wildlife whilst providing an informal peaceful retreat.
